THIS WEEK IN FOOD

Since my order of the Fujifilm XF1 (which I will do a review of soon) finally arrived last Tuesday (c/o Amazon), I've decided to take lots of sample photos to see what the little beauty can do. And what better way than to take photos of food! haha

FYI, I didn't eat everything here. Some of it are just photos I took of food my friends ordered. #defensive

THE #GLOBEGALAXYNOTE2 EXPERIENCE: BACOLOD EDITION

A month ago me and a couple of people were invited by Globe to experience Bacolod's Masskara Festival through the lens of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I almost didn't make it to my flight because getting to the airport was a bit of a nightmare. Thankfully I made it just in time. =)

NEW ZEALAND IN PICTURES

Last September, I went on a trip to New Zealand with my family. It was my first time going, although my parents have been there once before. We were there for a little more than 2 weeks and we were just road tripping all around the north island. Our first stop was Matakana, which is sort of like their version of Tagaytay (or if you want, the Hamptons). Then we were off to Auckland, where i met up with some high school buddies who had relocated there. Afterwards we it was Whitianga, a stay at a fully functioning farmhouse in Taupiri, a few days around Lake Taupo, then Napier (aka the art deco capital of the world), and finally Wellington. The most memorable thing about this trip for me was the food, which was pretty apparent to some of my friends who noticed i got a whole lot pudgier after the trip. LOL

Thanks to my sister for lending me her wonderful Fuji X10 during the trip. =)

I think we ended up spending most of our time at the lobby during the event because it was packed to the brim with people. Again, after a few drinks I totally forgot that I even brought a camera. Anyway, here are the more decent pictures from the night. Congratulations on the Esquire team for a wonderful event and also an amazing first issue!

REVLON MAKEOVER WEEKEND

 Last Sunday I was invited by Revlon to have a free hair makeover at their main office, which was coincidentally just around the corner from where I live. Being a hair color virgin, I jumped at the chance to finally get myself blondified. Luckily, my appointment was at the same time as my sister, BJ Pascual, Ziggy Savella and some other friends.

SUBSPACE

Last saturday, despite the ghastly weather, some friends and I decided to visit this much talked about place in Ortigas called Subspace. It's by Wilmer Lopez and Thor Balanon, who also own furniture, etc. store called Space Encounters (which I have yet to visit but am dying to do so one of these days). When I arrived, all i could say was "wow". The place is gorgeous! And of course they were playing k-pop music which just made the place even more adorable. They serve coffee, tea, pastries and sandwiches, which were actually pretty good.

So this morning I was surprised to find out that the Moo cards I ordered a few weeks ago have arrived!

THE NEW PENSHOPPE

So this morning I went to Penshoppe's relaunch of their first ever boutique in the country, located at SM North Edsa. It also happens to be the first of their stores to sport their brand new retail look. I must say I really like this new direction. Special mention must really be given to their new drool-worthy collection of shoes.
